The Epic Game Store is Failing Miserably | The Outer Worlds Cracked After 0 Days Due to Epic Games DRM Protection
Epic Game Store’s DRM Protection Failed
In modern times, DRM protection is one of the most important things for game developers. Hackers cause a lot of damage to the video game market every year as a small part of the gaming community chooses to crack their games instead of going out and buying a copy of it. Well, DRM protection has evolved a lot throughout the years, and now thanks to Denuvo, it takes hackers months to crack a game with Denuvo protection. For example, Anno 1800 hasn’t been cracked yet, and it was released 193 days ago but, the Epic Game Store DRM seems to be horrible because the Outer Worlds was hacked by Codex 0 days after release.
The Outer Worlds Cracked
According to Crackwatch, a website that tracks which games have been cracked, the Outer Worlds has been cracked by hacking group Codex on October 24th. This means that the game was cracked after 0 days! The Outer Worlds is a big release; it’s not an indie, so it’s not good for Obsidian that the game was cracked on day 1. It seems like it wasn’t the best decision for Obsidian Entertainment to use Epic Game Store DRM protection.
The Epic Game Store is a Failure
Everyone in the PC gaming community deeply dislikes the Epic Game Store because Epic Games has caused a lot of developers to release their games on the Epic Game Store instead of Steam. Steam is superior to the Epic Game Store as it features mods, a way to chat with friends, and a lot of discounts. Every game that comes out on the Epic Game Store gets hate from the PC gaming community and with their horrible DRM protection, as well as lack of various features such as mod support and voice chat, the Epic Game Store will most likely close down soon.
