NVIDIA Next GPUs Names are 11xx or 20xx from Ampere or Turing

All the rumors till now were referring the next GPUs to be called GTX 11xxx, the next gen Nvidia GPU series could actually use the 20xx suffix. based on leaks new Russian ECC certificate for Manli’s upcoming Nvidia GPUs informs that the series could use the 20xx denomination after all. Additionally, it mentions that the GPUs use the Ampere architecture. Earlier there was a leak that was associated with 2080 GPU, the numbers did not match an exact gaming GPU and it made some people that maybe 2 set of graphics are being made and released from Nvidia. One set for gaming witch is possibly the 11xx as we have had in all the rumors, and the second one is for data processing and maybe mining. Considering that Nvidia latest gaming driver has stopped some mining platforms and GPUs maybe Nvidia is pushing and trying make the stage ready for a mining or processing GPU set. With all the information sent to its AIB partners in the last few weeks, Nvidia somehow preferred not to unveil the GPU names just yet. It seems like the Russian ECC certification authorities did not really care about this secret. A quick look through the latest certificates for Manli (an Nvidia AIB partner from China) reveals the naming scheme for the next gen GPUs start with the 20xx suffix after all.

Twitter user Komachi points out that the GTX 2070 and GTX 2080 names in the certificate could be misspelled GTX 1070 and 1080 names instead, because those latter ones are nowhere to be seen. Additionally, the names in a certificate can be changed however the manufacturing company sees fit, so these might still be placeholder names. Notbookcheck Reports
