AMD Zen 2 Is Doing A Lot Better Than Intel In the European Market

Since a few years back Intel was enjoying a monopoly on the PC CPU market as AMD simply didn’t have anything that can compete. Even when AMD Ryzen was released Intel was still doing better than AMD because Ryzen had very bad gaming performance when compared to competing Intel CPUs so, the Intel monopoly continued until AMD changed everything by released the second-generation of their Ryzen CPUs based on the Matisse architecture.

AMD Zen 2 Outsells Intel CPUs in European Markets

According to sales figures revealed by German retailer “Mindfactory,” AMD CPUs were outselling Intel CPUs by a little bit until Zen 2 was released at which point AMD quickly captured large portions of the market. 

As you can see in the data above, AMD sold way more CPUs then Intel did. Of course, you have to keep in mind that the German market has always been a little biased towards Ryzen but, this shows things aren’t looking well for Intel.

Superior Gaming Performance 

If you have been looking at benchmarks, you probably know that Intel CPUs do better then Zen 2 CPUs in gaming benchmarks but, AMD Zen 2 performs a lot better overall and Intel’s gaming lead is very small. Although Intel Coffe Lake CPUs sometimes performed about 10 FPS better than the competing Ryzen CPUs, Intel’s latest and greatest only perform around 2 FPS better than competing Zen 2 CPUs in gaming. Although Intel technically does better than AMD in gaming, PC gamers still choose to go with Zen 2 because it features better overall performance. It seems like superior gaming performance can’t get Intel the lead over AMD this time.
