Nvidia

Nvidia has recently released their lower-end Turning GPUs, the GTX 1660 Ti and it has been very popular amongst PC gamers on a budget. Well, it seems like Nvidia is going to continue releasing lower-end Turning cards as the latest reports claim that the GTX 1660 is coming this month while the GTX 1650 is coming out in April.

GTX 1660/GTX 1650 Release Date and Price Leaked

This report comes from Digitimes and it is said that Nvidia is going to release more GTX 16 series GPUs very soon.

“The sources said that Nvidia is slated to launch GTX 1660 on March 15 and GTX1650 on April 30, which will bear minimum price tags of US$229 and US$179, respectively.

The four new graphics cards, ranging from US$179-349, are expected to bring heavy pricing pressure on AMD’s mid-tier and low-end offerings such as VEGA 64/65 and RX590/580/570.”

Nvidia’s latest GPU series have left out gamers on a low budget as the cheapest RTX card will cost you $350. Although the GTX 1660 Ti costs $70 less than the RTX 2060, it’s still a high price for gamers on a low budget therefore if you don’t want to spend $280 for your GPU, you’ll have to go with AMD or buy a last-gen Pascal card.

Low-End GTX 16 Series GPUs Specs

Thanks to past rumors, we know that the Nvidia GTX 1660 is going to feature around 1280 CUDA cores and 6 GB VRAM of GDRR6 VRAM. The specifications for the GTX 1650 isn’t as clear as the GPU is rumored to feature around 896-1024 CUDA cores and 4 GB of GDRR5 VRAM. It seems like the GTX 1660 is going to be the cheapest way to play games at 1080p 60 fps with reasonable graphics settings and the GTX 1650 is the minimum for 1080p 60 FPS.

AMD May Lowers RX 590/RX 580 Prices

According to the latest rumors, AMD may drop the RX 590 and RX 580 prices to $229 and $199 which means that the RX 590 is going to be the direct competitor to Nvidia’s GTX 1660. In most games the RX 590 is easily able to beat out the GTX 1060 6GB by about %12 but, the RX 590 uses way more power than the GTX 1060 6GB but, the RX 590 is still the clear winner for a desktop. In terms of the GTX 1650, the RX 580 is only $20 more but, it performs like the GTX 1060 6GB. If AMD does bring these prices down, Nvidia’s GTX 16 series GPUs wouldn’t stand much of a chance.
